
In response to societal changes and the development of the university, the National University of Tainan established the College of Arts in 2007, adhering to the spirit of legacy and innovation to cultivate professionals in the fields of music, drama creation and application, visual arts and design.
The College of Arts has a total of 28 contracted faculty members (including 10 professors, 13 associate professors, and 5 assistant professors), most of whom hold doctoral degrees from domestic and international institutions. They are passionate about teaching and possess extensive experience in both creation and education. Currently, the college comprises nearly 800 faculty members and students, distributed among the following departments and programs:
- Department of Music (Bachelor’s Program, Continuing Education Bachelor’s Program, Master’s Program, and In-Service Master’s Program)
- Department of Visual Arts and Design (Bachelor’s Program, Master’s Program in Visual Arts, Master’s Program in Design, and In-Service Master’s Program)
- Department of Drama Creation and Application (Bachelor’s Program and Master’s Program)
Aligning with the university’s commitment to fostering individualized and interdisciplinary student development, the College of Arts follows the four main teaching goals:
